Our small vans

The Citroen Berlingo and Mercedes Citan LWB are the category leaders in our small van range. The smooth-driving Berlingo (and its sister model the Peugeot Partner) fits a standard Euro pallet between the rear wheel arches, as does the slightly more compact Citan, known for its prowess on the motorway.

Our medium vans

Hire a mid-sized Budget van and you will drive off in one of four trusty load-haulers. The one-tonne, 2.2 TDCi-engined Ford Custom 290 is a comfy transit van with an especially quiet cabin, even at motorway speeds. With a people-carrier-like driving position and a 1.6 turbodiesel engine, the Renault Trafic SL27 can carry up to three Euro pallets. The VW Transporter is a real driver’s van, with quick-to-cut-in Start/Stop functionality and a touch-screen display with DAB radio. With electrically assisted power steering and serious road presence, the Peugeot Expert comes chock-full of in-van entertainment and safety tech.

Our large vans

Representing the larger Budget vans in our fleet, the Renault Master LM35 and Fiat Ducato 35, both sporting 2.3-litre engines, carry payloads of 1,530kg and 1,525kg respectively. With a conveniently low loading height and the capacity to haul five Euro pallets, the Master's 150-litre cabin presents drivers with a sizeable mobile office. The similar-sized Ducato reveals a full height metal bulkhead, a generous 1.42m loading width between its rear wheel arches and lots of handy cabin storage space.
