Dublin is one of Europe’s oldest cities and manages effortlessly to retain its history and culture while offering modern bars, sophisticated restaurants and exquisite hotels and shops.
Dublin has always been at the heart of art and culture and this is reflected in attractions like the National Museum, National Gallery and Irish Museum of Modern Art. It is also the seat of the Irish parliament, the Houses of the Oireachtas, which offer various open days throughout the year.
Just outside the city there are a wide variety of parks and gardens providing enjoyment for all the family. These retreats from the hustle and bustle of the city are perfect for exploration, exercise or relaxing and include nature reserves, historical parks, sports grounds and Georgian Squares.
The Guinness Storehouse is officially Dublin and Ireland’s most popular tourist attraction. Whether it’s the history, advertising (or more likely) the beer you’re interested in, fans of the Black Stuff will not go away disappointed. You can enjoy arguably the best pint of Guinness looking over the working brewery in the heart of Dublin.
