Car hire at Amsterdam Airport (AMS) – Practical Information

Finding your way to the city centre from Amsterdam Airport is very simple.
Firstly as you exit the airport take the ramp onto A4. Take the exit Knooppunt De Nieuwe Meer for E22/A10 west toward Cenrum/Zaansta/Ring Amsterdam (West).
Merge onto A10/E22 and after 1.6km exit onto Cornelis Lelylaans 106. Continue straight on Surinamestraat (S106) and continue to follow to follow the S106 for 2km.
Then turn right onto Stadhouderskade (S100) for 1.7km before turning left onto Westeinde, then left onto Frederiksplein, continue onto Weteringschans then turn right onto Nieuwe Vijzelstraat.

After 1.5km turn left into Dam to find the city centre.
Take care when driving and remember to drive on the right hand side of the road in Amsterdam. Children under 12 are not allowed to sit in the front seat and speed limits are enforced rigorously with very frequent radar traps.
